There is nothing better than buying fresh shrimp right off the boat.  Sweet Tails is the THE place for that.  However, note the following:

• Shrimp is only sold in 5lb bags
• You have to check their Facebook page to see if the boat is in
• If you are going after the first day the boat is in,  we strongly suggest you call and reserve your shrimp.

Sea Eagle in Beaufort has the most complete selection of local seafood.  The market has local shrimp, local oysters (in season), and local fish like founder, sea trout, redfish, black drum, scallops, clams and anything else that was caught on the boats today.  Its the longest drive of the ones we shop (about 20 minutes) but its hard to beat the selection of seafood, and its one of the few sure bets to get local oysters.  Local  hint:  they often cook a local stew or chowder around lunchtime.
